1. General Notes

The new vehicles are more complicated than the older generation, so they require more work to fit. All parts are cut and ready to fit.

2. Pre-Installation Actions

• Wire in your spot lights and feed for the HALO light.
• The HALO light has a hole on each side so you can feed the cable from either direction. We normally feed from the passenger side and leave the cable hanging above the sliding door.
• Fit the HALO LED strip and leave the cables long so they can be routed to the area above the sliding door where your feed cables are already positioned.
• Fit the HALO roof panel and let it hang slightly above the sliding door to allow the cables to be connected to the HALO strip.
• Once terminated, push all cables above the HALO roof panel before final fitting. This is just our method — you can adapt it to suit your setup.
• Rear Alarm Sensor Modification – Remove the rear alarm sensor at the centre rear of the vehicle.

3. Vehicle Preparation

Passenger Side B-Pillar

• Behind the top of the seat belt panel there is a cable clip which needs to be removed.
• Cut out the clip above the side curtain airbag to allow the cable to move and create space for the roof panel.

Driver’s Side (Between C and D Pillars)

• There are three plastic cable clips at the rear driver’s side.
• Remove these and move the cable upwards to avoid clashing with the roof panel.

4. Filling Gaps at the B-Pillar Headlining

Four pieces are supplied:

• 2 × 12mm rear wings:
  • Suede line the roof panel first.
  • Screw these through the two pre-drilled holes from the rear of the roof panel.
  • These sit just behind the headlining panel once the roof is fitted.
• 2 × 5.5mm front wings:
  • Carpet line these pieces.
  • Offer them into position over the gap and screw them into the already fitted 12mm wings.

Important: Some vans have headlinings positioned slightly differently during production. Always dry-fit the pieces after the rear wings are installed to confirm if any trimming is required before lining.

5. Preparing the Roof Panel

• The roof panel will arrive with the rear 12mm pieces pre-fitted.
• Line the panel with suede. If you choose carpet, make sure it is not too thick because the fit is snug.
• Fit the 12mm HALO pieces using the pre-drilled 5mm alignment holes at both ends.
  • Offer the 12mm piece up to the roof panel.
  • Insert a 5mm drill bit through the 12mm piece into the matching hole in the roof panel.
  • Align one end and secure with a 25mm screw.
  • Align and secure the other end the same way.
  • Insert all remaining 25mm screws through the countersunk holes to fully fix the 12mm sections.
• Fit the LED strip around the 12mm HALO section and leave the ends long enough to reach your pre-installed cabling.

6. Fitting the Roof Panel in the Van

• With a second person, offer the roof panel up to the vehicle.
• Align the six centre holes with the factory holes in the roof.
• The cables above the sliding door for the HALO LED now need to be connected and pushed up behind the roof panel.
• Push the panel firmly up against the roof spar and insert a short clip.
• Move to the next hole and repeat until all six are clipped in.

7. Fixing Into the Roof Spars

• Locate the sets of two 5mm holes spaced 40mm apart — there are six sets.
• Use a 3mm drill bit to drill through the 5mm holes into the vehicle’s metal roof spar.
• Use the supplied 45mm screws to secure the roof panel in all six positions.

8. Fitting the HALO Trim Pieces

Side Trim Pieces (5.5mm)

• Carpet line each side piece.
• Insert the long fir-tree clips from the rear.
• Offer each piece up to the roof and align the clips with the holes in the 12mm HALO section.
• Once aligned, press firmly until fully engaged.

Rear Trim Piece (5.5mm)

• Test-fit before carpeting.
  • It should fit between the two side pieces with around a 2mm gap each side to allow for the carpet thickness.
  • If it’s too tight, push the side pieces apart or trim a couple of millimetres from each side.
• Once satisfied with the fit, carpet line it, install the fir-tree clips, and secure in place.

9. Rear Alarm Sensor Modification

• Locate the previously removed rear alarm sensor.
• Split the plastic holder by undoing the clips; discard the rear half.
• Drill two screw holes into the remaining front half of the holder.
• Screw this into the HALO roof panel opening with the 2 x black screws supplied.
• Optionally spray the plastic black if the original colour is light grey.
• Make sure the cable has enough length before fitting — it may be tight and require pulling through a little extra slack.

10. Final Step

• Fit the front wings to cover the remaining gap in the headlining.
